"At the end of the day"

“At the end of the day”

First of all I just got off the phone and realized I said this phrase at least one million times!

Secondly…. People joke all the time about this phrase saying “what about the beginning of the day” and my response is what about it?

Usually at the beginning of the day we are filled with emotions that don’t allow us to sit back and look at things in the logical perspective as they should be considered.

This week I was approached about an issue and I can admit that “at the beginning if the day” I was defensive about it and responded with anger, attitude and aggressive emotions.

It took me ten blocks, an hour long conversation, a bus and a train ride from Brooklyn to Harlem to realize “at the end of the day” I need to be appreciative and realize things could be so much worst.

I don’t know what it is about complaining but it’s something that is very easy to do! I can do a simple transaction at the bodega and one comment like “I don’t like comin here” can leave my mouth and that’s a complaint…..

It’s like someone cursing and not realizing they cursed because they do it that often!

I’m quick to complain.

Well no more. From here on out I’m making it a conscious effort to recognize all blessings and know that “at the end of the day” I’m taken cared of.

Because my profession is complaining. As a comedian often times I talk about what I don’t have that I want. I expose my flaws and insecurities and most time rant and rave about what’s wrong with this world.

So let me rephrase that….  from now on I’m recognizing my complaints to complain and appreciating the fact that I can complain on stage and it’s funny:-P

“At the end of the day” I’m wreckless:-)
